Manchester’s dirty southern blues rock maverick’s Gorilla Riot, released a new single and video – Down The Road on Fri 25th May 2018.
The song is taken from their recently released EP – American Honey – and is available from all leading digital and streaming services. It will also be accompanied by a video produced by guitarist, Charly T..
Gorilla Riot play raucous blues based rock, combining elements of grunge, stoner and country to create a full sonic high energy show that is equally at home as full electric or played acoustically. Indeed, Gorilla Riot will be headlining the acoustic stage at this year’s Breaking Bands Festival as well as Ramblin Man Rising Stage.
The guys most recently sold out the famous Night & Day Café in Manchester and continue to tour up and down the UK.
Mainman, Arjun Bhishma, said, “With this EP, we wanted to showcase our love for roots rock, blues and country. We dialled back the distortion and focused on interweaving guitar parts and vocal harmonies. Down The Road is a country blues song about a woman that did you wrong. It was written with a simple slide guitar riff and fleshed out with organ and vocal harmonies. Influences include early Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and the Black Crowes.”
