(Remastered) Looking Back at 80s Music Videos (Part 2)
Originally released in March 2014 for ’80’s Picturehouse’ (hello to everyone who listened to that), myself and Thom have added a new introduction to our show with visual conceptualist Keith Williams and releasing it under the ‘Decade of Decadence’ banner for all to hear.
Keith created the 1st music video image ever shown on MTV for The Buggles ‘Video Killed the Radio Star’, as well as working with Elton John, Spandau Ballet, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Tina Turner, Madonna, Lionel Richie, Alice Cooper and many more.
You’ll hear stories about pitching concepts to Michael Jackson for ‘Billie Jean’ and ‘Beat It’, creating the music video for ‘Peace in our Life’ for the movie Rambo: First Blood Part 2 (and then directing Frank Stallone in it), the reason why Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Holding out for a Hero’ is shot at the Grand Canyon, plus lots more great stories…all told with a big dollop of Keith’s great sense of humour.
