Contra: Rogue Corps standalone single-player demo available from today
Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. announced that the demo for CONTRA: ROGUE CORPS will be released today for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, with PS4 available tomorrow. Players will be able to dive into the Damned City in the latest action-packed entry to the cult-classic CONTRA franchise, taking control of Max ‘Kaiser’ Doyle, leader of the Rogue Corps.
The demo will showcase the single-player campaign of the twin-stick, third-person action game, including a playable preview of one of the many large-scale boss battles that players will enjoy once the game launches on September 26th in Europe.
The demo level is standalone, meaning that progress will not be carried over to the main game on release.
Also featured within the demo is a new gameplay trailer, which will show never-before-seen footage from CONTRA: ROGUE CORPS.
From the director of CONTRA III: THE ALIEN WARS, Nobuya Nakazato instils more than 25 years of franchise pedigree into CONTRA: ROGUE CORPS with enormous crazed enemies, over-the-top violence, and a cast of diverse playable characters that add to the irreverent tone of the game.
Several years after the events of the Alien Wars, CONTRA: ROGUE CORPS follows a former military group living on the fringes as bounty hunters and treasure finders in the Damned City. Survival requires fast reactions, powerful weapons and the occasional organ and cybernetic augmentation.
Players will complete missions in PVE campaigns, gathering resources to upgrade their guns and body parts to stay alive in the Damned City. If all else fails, bring in a friend online to the campaign and mow-down enemies together. Beyond the campaign, players will also have access to a Local Couch CO-OP mode and unique online PVP mode called Carnage League.
