Go Inside the Mind of Jessika in the Latest Trailer for the Upcoming Investigative FMV Game
Assemble Entertainment and developer TriTrieGames invite you to go behind the scenes of Jessika, the new investigative Full Motion Video (FMV) game launching on Windows, Mac, and Linux via Steam on 25th August 2020.
In Jessika, you’ll be tasked with the intensely emotional job of a lifetime as you investigate the suicide of the titular character. Hired by her father after her untimely demise, you’ll need to use your detective know-how and intuition to uncover clues about what happened, and ultimately, the details of her last gripping moments.
In the new behind-the-scenes trailer, the developers reveal the inspiration behind Jessika and why they sought out an FMV format to tell the story of her tragic end. Additionally, TriTrie Games expands upon the underlying message in the game, explaining how their personal views on the subversive topic evolved while in the development process.
“We are used to serious topics being discussed in movies. However, it’s rather rarely seen in games,” said Jessika Game Designer, Pierre Schlömp. “That was one of the main motivations for me to participate in this project.”
More about Jessika:

What appears to be a textbook suicide — at least, at first — may prove to be your career-defining moment. With only your laptop and an unrivaled determination for unearthing the truth, you’ll need to dig through the victim’s extensive digital footprint to locate clues and keywords embedded within Jessika’s tangled online presence to piece together what really happened.
Developed by TriTrie Games and published by Assemble Entertainment, Jessika will arrive on Steam via Windows, Steam OS, Mac, and Linux on 25th August, 2020, and retail for £10.49.
