New series -“That Was Then This Is Now” – celebrating great pop acts of the last 50 years
That Was Then This Is Now is a new and innovative six-part streaming music show, masterminded by Mike Stock of Stock Aitken Waterman fame and available on StagePlayer+ from 8th July 2022.
Featuring great pop acts of the last 50 years in exclusive new live studio performances, served up with Top Of The Pops vibes, That Was Then Is Now is hosted by broadcasting legend Mike Read, and Sky’s Hayley Palmer.
Artists include: Toyah, Chesney Hawkes, Owen Paul, Paul Young, Leee John (Imagination), Limahl, The Vapors, Right Said Fred, Sonia, Johnny Hates Jazz, Steve Harley, The Fizz, Kim Wilde, Marty Wilde & Roxanne Wilde; plus an exclusive interview with Cliff Richard.
On creating the show, Mike Stock said: “These artists are still making great music. And we wish to showcase their classic hits alongside their still exciting new material.”
Mike Read said: “The series puts great heritage singers, musicians, and songwriters back in the spotlight through their classic hits and great new music.”
Paul Young commented: “It was such a pleasure to be able to show both the old and the new; music never dies, it evolves.”
