‘Rockin’ For The Children 2018′
David Tonge, organiser of the Festival said, “After an amazing run of 7 years we now come to the eighth and final ever NLC Festival at The Maze in Nottingham. With nearly £20,000 raised for Child Abuse and Children with Autism we hope that barrier will be broken and we can help even more children this year”
Over the years the Festival has built a great reputation for being a huge party weekend for all the family, with friends coming back year after year to have fun and enjoy some of the best Rock Bands in the UK. This is a weekend when the Bands to come to party, where the supporters and the bands are as one and what an atmosphere it creates, something very very special. With 95 different bands playing over the years and many returning for several festivals we have been really thankful to have so much fantastic support.”
This year will see 23 bands playing over the 2 days of 5th & 6th May 2018 including a highlight every year The NLC All Stars, featuring Dave Sanders (Falling Red), Rob Lane (Ryan Hamilton & The Traitors), Kyle Lamley (THEIA) and John JJ Watt (The Main Grains) plus singers from previous bands performing some great Rock Classics to finish off the Saturday evening in a true sing along party atmosphere. During the Saturday the WDFD Records stage will see several bands who have reformed just for this Festival and there will be some special performances. The Idol Dead will headline and play out the last ever Festival on the Sunday evening in their own unique Rock n Roll way and should not be missed. WDFD Records artist THEIA grace the stage on Sunday evening as part of the “final countdown”.
