The Bark Side
Have you seen the new website?
My people have been busy squirrelling away – squirrel? Who said squirrel? I love to chase squirrels, let me at it! Oh, sorry, where was I? – and it’s all been updated. It’s a bit fancier and hopefully gives you an improved customer experience. I’m always happy to receive feedback (it may be constructive when you provide it to me, but it’ll be brutal by the time I relay it to the humans!) so please feel free to let me know what you think – good or bad.
Easter Weekend At My Digital Village.
You might not have heard about My Digital Village yet, but you’ll love that I’ve told you about it. My Digital Village is the newest online community where everyone belongs. It’s based on actual verbal contact, trust, and friendliness, so you won’t end up in a debate with a keyboard warrior – you’ll actually chat face to face (albeit by video).
There’s the High Street (where The Bark Side has a shop), the Village Hall, and probably the most important thing is the Welcome Inn. Even while the pubs are closed, the Welcome Inn is open for social events, pub quizzes, live music, magic shows and the like. Brilliant.
Easter weekend will see the first Spring Fayre in My Digital Village. On Good Friday there’s a Farmer’s Market, and The Bark Side will have a stall there on Saturday 3rd April 2021 (10am till 2pm). You can come along and ask for advice on what is the most suitable product, and ask about features, qualities, demonstrations or recommendations. It’s like having a personal shopper really, only much cooler because it’s all about dogs. Oh, and The Bark Side is sponsoring a fun dog show which has the following classes:
- Best Ears;
- Cutest Nose; and
- Lookalike.
Now, the Lookalike class is the one where you really can have loads of fun. Whether you look like your owner (we’ll either need to see you both together, or a couple of photos), or like a celebrity or fictional character, this is the class for you. The world is your oyster, lobster, whatever. It’ll be awesome!
There will be other stalls there as well, so come along (webcam essential; headphones recommended) and see what is on offer. Access to the Village is free during this weekend, so make the most of it and have a look around. Oh, and the incredibly talented Jester Styles will be performing his magic show for kids during the day, and for adults in the evening (the evening will be a verydifferent show to the afternoon!).

The Rest of 2021…
Well then – it might be that we can start attending Real Life Events again soon! Not wishing to get too excited to soon, but the thought of events certainly makes my tail wag. A few events have been cancelled, unfortunately, but once the world starts opening back up again let’s hope we can start getting out and about again. If you know of a show or event that you’d like to see The Bark Side attend, then please drop me an email at brutus@thebarksideshop.com
Keep barking, everyone!
Love, Brutus xxxx
