This is not an essential spaghetti western, nor is it one of the great Django films. It is, however, an entertaining example of the genre while it was still gathering momentum.

Subtle humorous moments, plus some (literal) toilet humour, had me smiling and laughing throughout. All climaxing in a wonderful end to the story that will long stay in the memory.

Johnny Handsome may not be top-tier Walter Hill (The Warriors and Streets of Fire being 2 of my particular favourites of his), but it is a lean and entertaining neo-noir

This is the best Troy has ever looked and a highly recommended upgrade. Just make sure you put aside either two-and-three-quarter hours or well over three hours, depending on which cut you choose.

Dead Man’s Shoes is definitely not a ‘Netflix and chill’ film, it is unashamedly uncompromising and hard hitting, leaving you collecting your thoughts as the end credits roll.

Killer Party blends 2 popular movie genres of the 80s; the slasher movie & the college movie, though doesn’t really shine in either of them.

Some films are made for high definition, and The Name of the Rose is one of them.

I do think If Besson had picked a better actress to play the part of Joan this would be a wholly different film.

The problem(s) with Chum is not that it’s a story we’ve all seen before…I can forgive that in a movie if it is done well enough. It’s that it’s all a bit…well, crap really.
