Based on Chris Warner’s graphic novel and starring Pamela Anderson as the titular (no sniggering at the back there please) ‘Barb Wire’.

With Kris Kristofferson recently passing away, this is the perfect time to pick this up and revisit one of his best known roles.

Based on the true story of a killing spree that happened during the night of 21st May 1938 in the rural village of Kamo.

I admit to absolutely loving Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. I know in this day and age it would be seen as sexist and somewhat misogynistic, but it was made in a time when it was a joy to see a beautiful sassy woman twirl nipple tassels as a finale to the story.

A man covered in gore is running through a dark forest at night….. he’s panicked and rings his friend Chuck (Alyson Hannigan) for help – only she’s hundreds of miles away in a nerd shop.

The Island is about a savage group of pirates, including Dudley Sutton and Don Henderson. Old school.

I suppose the ‘Coen’ influence is strong in this film – but it misses the mark.

This is yet again, another worthwhile releases from Powerhouse Films. No other company releases truly great older films, ones we certainly would never have the chance of seeing or enjoying.

The Lady is Willing stars Marlene Dietrich; yes you can hear her sing now can’t you? Or is it…. Madeleine Kahn in Blazing Saddles? (best impersonation ever).
