Killer Party blends 2 popular movie genres of the 80s; the slasher movie & the college movie, though doesn’t really shine in either of them.

Some films are made for high definition, and The Name of the Rose is one of them.

I do think If Besson had picked a better actress to play the part of Joan this would be a wholly different film.

The problem(s) with Chum is not that it’s a story we’ve all seen before…I can forgive that in a movie if it is done well enough. It’s that it’s all a bit…well, crap really.

This new Warner release on 4 K UHD is gorgeous; the sets, especially in the orgy house, remind me of Kubrick’s Barry Lyndon

It’s funny, it’s poignant, it’s inspiring, and it’s also a little bit stressful just to watch as everything unfolds before Anthony and he has to take it all in his stride and get the movie completed.

Highly recommended.

If you’re a collector of 4K films and have never seen The Searchers, buy it, I promise you it will become one of your favourite films. And if you’re already a fan and think you don’t need to upgrade, think again.
10/10 for me! 

Making its worldwide 4K UHD debut is Weapons of Death, a movie that I’d never seen before, but will definitely be watching again, as this the type of movie that I love.

The usual entertaining and informative special features on an Arrow release, and you have a disc that is worth a place in anyone’s collection…just don’t go out for a burger straight after watching it!

God, this is a gorgeous film to look at, sumptuous, with depth, the dark corners of candlelit interiors make the beautiful costumes and make-up sing.
