Black Cat Bones have re-vamped and morphed into REVIVAL BLACK

A new singer, new attitude, new management and a new name, Liverpool’s Black Cat Bones, have re-vamped and morphed into REVIVAL BLACK.

Revival Black recently signed to TMR Band Management who are now touting their album around the labels.
TMR headman, Peter Keevil, said, “Whether I can find the guys a label or not doesn’t really matter as the album is such a beast we could readily unleash it under our own steam. I was aware of Black Cat Bones and although not poor, they didn’t connect with me. But when I heard Dan Byrne’s vocals overlaid on the huge and instant riffs, it blew me away; they had found the missing ingredient, so I had to find a way to work with them.”
Revival Black’s debut single ‘Hold Me Down’ is a coming of age anthem. Providing commentary on a prevalent issue, the song highlights the toxic relationship of being held back from your aspirations by those closest to you.
The song blossomed out of a particularly transitional time for the band during the process of finding and bedding in a new singer. Hold Me Down is the very first song that was sculpted from the band’s new sound and attitude and acts as a signpost for the upcoming debut album.
Guitarist, (Alan) Rimmer, said, “Hold Me Down was tracked in a live setup at The Motor Museum Recording Studio. We decided to record the album ‘live’ as we wanted to capture the energy of the band and for the songs to have a natural flow. However, the guitar tone for was one of the most difficult to realise out of all the songs. The octave effects that are on both guitars during the main riff was something that we worked tirelessly on, trying to make sure they fused together. When we finally got the sound to gel we played through the song in the live setup, and just hit the record button.”
He added, “We knew we wanted to work with Peter at TMR. In fact, we didn’t approach anyone else. During our very first meeting, before we had signed, Peter walked in and said that we needed to change our name and that’s exactly what we were thinking but we were clinging on to the past and not sure. When he said that, we looked at each other and knew we had the right person.”

Revival Black (previously known as ‘Black Cat Bones’) are a classic sounding hard rock band, striking out of the cultural heartland that is Liverpool, England.
They have recently signed to leading management agency, TMR and plan a sonic incursion on the public with their forthcoming 10-song debut album, slated for release later in 2019.
Having toured the UK with Marco Mendoza (The Dead Daisies) the band have already established a strong following. With their own brand of honest rock n roll, drawing upon the classic sound of the 70’s with a strong foothold in the modern day. A Revival is coming.
