Following their success at this year’s HRH Highway To Hell finals, Gin Annieare thrilled to announce that they have signed a 2 album licensing deal with Off Yer Rocka Records, beginning with their debut album to be released on Fri 25thJanuary 2019.
Off Ya Rocka Records (OYR) are part of the Hard Rock Hell (HRH) family that includes a label, radio station, a printed magazine, PR division and of course, numerous festivals. Each year HRH have offered emerging rock talent the chance to win a licensing deal with OYR through the fan-voted Highway To Hell competition. Previous finalists have included Massive Wagons, Stone Broken, Ryders Creed and Thirteen Stars.
This year Gin Annie triumphed with a landslide vote in a strong field that included Wicked Stone (2nd) and At The Sun (3rd).
Gin Annie are a hard melodic rock 5-piece from Wolverhampton UK, featuring heavy guitar driven songs whilst maintaining a melodic vocal style, hook-laden choruses and classy melodies.
They are based around the nucleus of cousins – singer, Dave Foster and guitarist, Byron Garbett. The Black Country rockers recently introduced MKII of their line-up with a new guitarist (Brian Green) and bassist (Phill ‘Hammer’ Burrows) to beef up their already huge sound. Jack Ryland-Smith completes the line-up on drums.
Guitarist, Byron Garbett said: “This line-up has only been together a few months yet we feel we have really built up a head of steam through touring with Vega and then Graham Bonnet and now Diamond Head. Working with Off Yer Rocka will only enhance and help us take our music to many more people, beginning with our debut on Fri 25th January.”
Head honcho at OYR/HRH, Jonni Davis, said, “It’s our policy to champion new talent every year and give them the boost they need to go up a few levels, Gin Annie were the winners of a super intense selection process which they won outright on merit on every front, we look forward to creating the next few chapters together with this incredible outfit.”
GIN ANNIE head out on a 22-date European tour with NWOBHM legends, Diamond Head. They return to play Planet Rockstock & London before the release of their debut album.
