Help to keep us online in 2020
Back in November 2019 I made a post about how my personal circumstances have changed and it was becoming increasingly harder to keep our website and podcast online.
Please take a few minutes to read about it HERE.
Unfortunately things have got progressively worse since then, with financial and health issues making it even harder to keep everything afloat.
I love 60MW and everything about it: the website with all of its news and reviews, Twitter with all of the competitions we put on there thanks to our great friends at various companies who kindly supply the prizes (we\’re already starting 2020 by giving away some fantastic prizes), our Instagram account for all the weird and wonderful stuff (and the best place to keep updated on podcast mascot Bodhi), and of course our podcasts where we have released over 200 across various format shows.
All of the above have always been free and always will be. BUT, it is now at the stage where I\’m having to ask for a little help.
I\’ve set a goal of £276 on our Ko-Fi page. This is the amount it costs to keep our website and podcast online for a year. It is of course only for the hosting costs…everything else we do (writing news and reviews, prepping/recording and editing podcasts, keeping our social media updated, etc), we do in our own time and for free…and it all takes a surprisingly long time.
It would take some stress away if the online hosting costs for 2020 could be covered and I can concentrate on everything planned for 60MW this year, as well as the all important issues of health and work.
As stated in the news piece I linked to at the beginning of this post, there are FAR better organisations and charities to donate to. But if we\’ve in any way informed or entertained you, made you laugh or cry, helped you win a great prize, or in any other way been a part of your day, then please see if you can help out during this difficult period.
If everyone who follows us on Twitter donated £1, we\’d be covered for the next 20 years…by which point the rest of the team really could call me old!
Thanks for taking the time to read this and for letting us be a part of your days.
