Shared Visions Film Festival Unveils First Ever Lineup
The inaugural Shared Visions Film Festival is set to take place at the Rex Cinema in Wilmslow, showcasing an eclectic array of cinematic treasures from around the globe.
Kicking off the festivities is the highly anticipated UK premiere of “The Unknown Country,” starring the remarkable Lily Gladstone as a grieving woman who embarks on an unexpected road trip.
“The Sweet East,” starring Ayo Edebiri and Jacob Elordi will also screen at the festival. In the film a high school senior from South Carolina gets her first glimpse of the wider world, picturesque cities, and woods of the Eastern seaboard on a class trip to Washington, D.C.
Audiences will also be treated to the enchanting “Late Bloomers,” Karen Gillan as an aimless 28 year-old Brooklynite who lands in the hospital after drunkenly breaking her hip. An encounter with a cranky elderly Polish woman who speaks no English leads to a job caring for her.
In addition to these acclaimed feature films, the Shared Visions Film Festival will showcase over 40 short films from both established and emerging filmmakers. From thought-provoking documentaries to heart-warming dramas and experimental works of art, this diverse selection promises something for every cinematic palate.
Tickets for individual screenings are priced at £9, offering audiences the opportunity to immerse themselves in the magic of cinema. For those eager to experience the full breadth of the festival, 4 Film and Full Weekend passes are also available, providing access to all screenings and events.
