VENUS 5 : ‘Tom And Ms. Amy Lee’
Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to present ‘Tom And Ms. Amy Lee’, the debut single by the new international metal group Venus 5. The song serves as a preview for the band’s upcoming debut album, more details of which will be made available soon.
Venus 5 is comprised of five talented singers who all hail from different European countries. In alphabetical order, they are: Herma (also of SNB, signed to Frontiers), Karmen Klinc, Jelena Milovanovic, Tezzi Persson (also of Infinite & Divine, signed to Frontiers) and Erina Seitllari. Each is an outstanding vocalist in her own right, while all are visually interesting and represent different characteristics of the group.
Born from an idea developed by Frontiers label boss Serafino Perugino, Venus 5 is primed to be one of the freshest and most exciting new musical prospects to emerge from the European metal scene in recent years. The concept for the group began with the idea of creating a ‘metal’ version of pop projects such as Pussycat Dolls. Assembling the vocalists and musicians required time to put the right personnel in place to create a chemistry and give the project musical credibility. The result is that five outstanding vocal stars in the making have been brought together from different musical environments (and countries) to work on what is a monster of an album.
While comparisons to this being a metal version of certain well-known pop projects might make one assume that its visual aspect would take the lead, then rest assured that it is the music that is front and centre. A team effort by producer Aldo Lonobile (Secret Sphere, Timo Tolkki’s Avalon, Sweet Oblivion) and his crack team of writers, musicians and co-producers – including Jake E (Cyrha, ex-Amaranthe), Stefan Helleblad (Within Temptation) and Per Aldeheim (Def Leppard, H.E.A.T) – has created a record that offers a feast of musical treats.
Venus 5 is recommended for all lovers of the current European metal scene, taking influences from the recent output of Within Temptation and Amaranthe, but adding even more addictive and catchy melodies. It is a totally successful blend.
