Review: Assault on Station 33
DVD & Digital: Assault on Station 33 (2021)
Military veteran and PTSD sufferer Jason Hill (Sean Patrick Flanery) has arranged to meet his wife, Jennifer (Gina Holden), for lunch at the Veteran’s Affairs hospital where she works.
After Jennifer is called away for an emergency meeting with the head of US Military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, the hospital is taken hostage by heavily armed terrorists, which include a badass called Jackson (Mark Dacascos) among them.
Predictably, it is left to Jason to battle the hostages AND his PTSD demons at the same time, in an effort to try to save everyone involved.
While having only watched Assault on Station 33 a few days ago, it already has mostly become just a blur in my mind with other similar low budget action movies where a flawed protagonist has to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to defeat an enemy.
With nothing to distinguish it from other similar, and many more exciting, movies of its ilk, the main draw here is to see some more of (though underused) Mark Dacascos and Michael Jai White on screen.
