Review: Flevans – Accumulate Remixed

Accumulate has been bouncing almost full time on the 60 Minutes With sound system since its release (till the Heavy Metal kids turn it down) only being replaced recently by Smoove & Turrell. (Check out our review).

The album tracks are now pretty much taking a life on of their own with two more massive mixes;
London-based house duo Saison take on the instrumental ‘Speculate’ beefing up the grooves and smacking on the crowd noise and cowbells while letting the beat pump out. It’s easy to see why this in-demand duo were named the best deep house artist of 2018 and 2019 by Traxsource.

But the man himself aint no shrinking violet when it comes to the remix and Flevans takes on his own single Ambition Like Cream. This version drops Scooby Jones’s excellent vocal take in favour of layering some strings and turning up the disco. I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive with this one, as for me it’s one of the stand out tracks on the album but after a few plays its sits and a companion piece, a funky brother if you will.
