Review: The AGFA Horror Trailer Show
Blu-ray: The AGFA Horror Trailer Show
If you’ve read any of my reviews on here and/or listened to me chat about movies on our podcasts, then you’ll probably have a good idea about my taste in movies and if yours is similar to mine or not. If your cinematic loves align with me, then this is a simple 2 word review for you…BUY THIS.
Presented to give you the feeling of being at the wildest drive-in cinema you’ve ever experienced (complete with wonderfully wacky adverts and a mid-point refreshment stop), I defy you to not add any of these titles to your “watchlist” as one ridiculous horror trailer quickly follows another, barely giving you time to digest what has just played before your eyes.
I thought I’d seen a lot of the more obscure low budget horror that was out there, but I was constantly amazed as titles kept appearing which I had never heard of before…Splatter University and The Velvet Vampire being just 2 such examples.
The adverts are just as crazy and mind-blowing too, showing things in a manner that had me laughing out loud on numerous occasions…as did the hugely entertaining commentary track which often goes off on tangents about all sorts of things…just how I like my commentary tracks to be.
Throw in a full-length trailer mixtape of shot on video and direct to video horror, and you’ve got yourself one of the most enjoyable blu-rays to put on your screen whether you’re alone in the house or with a bunch of likeminded friends.
One of the best Blu-ray experiences I’ve had so far this year.
