Review: The Allergies – Let Them Know (feat. The Cuban Brothers)

If ‘Felony’ was the start of Summer, then The Allergies have turned up the heat up with the release of ‘Let Them Know’.

Letting the Cuban Brothers loose on vocals ensures that the fun starts within seconds and never stops till it’s all over. The Bristol hombres have served up a spicy mix with a chorus as catchy as hell, Los Hermanos Cubanos blend of Latino funk, hits like a Mariachi Band on steroids and instantly brings a grin to the face. You couldn’t sit down to this one.

Those lucky enough to get the 7” vinyl version have an extra treat with ‘Lightning In A Bottle’, with Andy Cooper (Ugly Duckling), leading us in a jump-around work out.

With ‘Let Them Know’ and ‘Felony’ as tasters for The Allergies’ forthcoming album, Say The Word. The main course can’t arrive soon enough.
