Review: The Gift 4K UHD
4K UHD Blu-ray: The Gift (2015)
Written by Billy Bob Thornton and Tom Epperson based on the alleged psychic experiences of Thornton’s mother, and directed by Sam Raimi, Cate Blanchett plays a widow with young kids who makes money by giving tarot readings to neighbours. She has ‘the gift’ of clairvoyancy, and through her visions she fins the killer of a young woman.
This is a pretty good murder-mystery- whodunnit with the added pleasure of Keanu Reeves playing a believable wife beating, southern redneck.
