Review: Billy Connolly’s Great American Trail
Blu-ray, DVD & Digital: Billy Connolly’s Great American Trail (2019)
The perfect companion piece to the previously reviewed Frankie Boyle’s Tour of Scotland, Billy Connolly’s Great American Trail has the legendary Scottish comedian going off the beaten track in America and conversing with an eclectic array of people about subjects that include music, football, gangsters, whales, moonshiners, and much more.
Billy has a wonderful outlook on life, appreciating everything that he comes across, no matter how bizarre or insignificant others may think of it. While his infectious laugh and his unique sense of humour mean that giggles and hearty belly laughs are never far away while watching him on his travels.
Every opportunity to see Billy Connolly should be grasped with both hands, so order this immediately and brighten up your December…and beyond.
As with the aforementioned Frankie Boyle release, my only complaint is that this is far too short at only 3 episodes and it left me wanting to see a lot more of Billy on his travels.
