Making its worldwide 4K UHD debut is Weapons of Death, a movie that I’d never seen before, but will definitely be watching again, as this the type of movie that I love.

The usual entertaining and informative special features on an Arrow release, and you have a disc that is worth a place in anyone’s collection…just don’t go out for a burger straight after watching it!

God, this is a gorgeous film to look at, sumptuous, with depth, the dark corners of candlelit interiors make the beautiful costumes and make-up sing.

One of the things I particularly enjoyed was its authenticity. The performances feel natural, the relationships believable, and there’s a sincerity running throughout that never feels forced.

A Norwegian SLASHER film? Yep. Well… no. THREE Norwegian slashers.

Featuring a car chase that is the epitome of a ‘white knuckle ride’, To Live and Die in L.A. is a smorgasbord of sudden outbursts of shocking violence, a twisting storyline featuring characters that can never fully be trusted.

Eraser remains enormous fun. It’s one of those action films that never pretends to be anything other than a hugely entertaining couple of hours.

Across the three discs there’s plenty to explore, including audio commentaries, featurettes, the alternate ending and a generous collection of extras that dive into the making of the film.

There are plenty of sports films that tell you what happened, but the very best make you feel as though you’re right there in the middle of the action.

There are films that entertain, films that challenge, and then there are films like Wake in Fright that simply leave you feeling as though you’ve spent two hours trapped in someone else’s fever dream.
