Evercade Atari Collection 1 Review If you’ve listened to the latest episode of the ABCD of Gaming (and if you haven’t then why not?) you’ll have heard Adam talking about his brand-new purchase of the Evercade handheld console. Being easily led and a bit gullible, I thought it sounded marvellous, so went over to Game […]
I played Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 on the Dreamcast when they were released 20+ years ago (time goes by so fast!) and enjoyed them so much that I bought the new remastered version on PS4 earlier this year.So it was with great excitement when a review code for the Nintendo Switch version […]
DVD, Blu-ray & Digital: The Dark and the Wicked (2020) I’ll begin by saying that The Dark and the Wicked is my favourite horror movie of the year so far, and one which I shall be revisiting again before too long…something I don’t say lightly as someone who watches 500+ films a year. Set on […]

DVD & Digital: King Otto (2021) I’m not a fan of football (at time of writing the Euro 2020 quarter finals have just concluded and I haven’t watched a single game), but I’m a big fan of documentaries, and this is a great one. 20 years ago the Greek national football team was something that […]
Blu-ray, DVD & Digital: Futtock’s End & Other Short Stories I remember watching Futtock’s End with my Dad many years ago and finding the slapstick comedy very funny indeed. All these years later it didn’t raise as many laughs, but still made me smile a lot, with some of it naturally due to the nostalgia […]
Blu-ray, DVD & Digital: Just Like a Woman (1967) Imagine British comedy icon Wendy Craig in a massive ginger fright wig that would make Phil Spector jealous. Then imagine her, hot off the back of The Servant. Wendy plays the part of Scilla Alexander who is married to Lewis McKenzie (Francis Matthews) a TV producer. […]
Cinema & Digital: Occupation Rainfall (2020) Unfortunately I haven’t seen the first film so didn’t know the backstory to Occupation Rainfall. This films story takes place two years after an alien invasion, and an Australian band of survivors, along with some of the once hostile invaders now fight the ‘evil’ aliens in the hope of […]
DVD & Blu-ray: Harry Birrell Presents Films of Love & War (2019)This film starts with Carina Birrell, and her dad (granddaughter and son of Harry) rummaging about in their garden shed, eventually lifting up cans of very old film. As I continued to watch the film I wondered if this were true or just for […]
