I suppose the ‘Coen’ influence is strong in this film – but it misses the mark.
This is yet again, another worthwhile releases from Powerhouse Films. No other company releases truly great older films, ones we certainly would never have the chance of seeing or enjoying.
The Lady is Willing stars Marlene Dietrich; yes you can hear her sing now can’t you? Or is it…. Madeleine Kahn in Blazing Saddles? (best impersonation ever).
A very interesting and enjoyable collection of Michael Powell’s early works which look fantastic on this blu-ray release.
This is not a horror anthology like Creepshow or Tales from the Crypt, this has every intention of trying to rip your eyeballs out of their sockets as you watch and leave your brain spinning as more bizarre visuals and situations are thrown in front of you with a bloody splat.
This is a must buy if you’re a fan of Riddick – I mean just look at all these lovely extras.
