Review: Crushed Velvet & The Velveteers – As Far As We Know (feat. Brother GoodLove)

If As Far as we Know and Good Thang are the entrees from Crushed Velvet & the Velveteers then bring on the main course! We here at 60 Minutes With have already raved about the first release from the Velveteers and now we have the incredible sounding Brother GoodLove delivering a smokey soul ballad.

Canadian born with Cameroonian heritage GoodLove now resides in Washington D.C, his music a mixture of African-American to African, Caribbean, Latin and European. Here we have a timely plea for unity and focusing on our similarity rather than our differences and GoodLove’s got the voice to sooth the soul and deliver the message.

Crushed Velvet & the Velveteers is the alter ego of US multi-instrumentalist and producer Alan Evans and on this track he plays bass, drums and guitar. So far he’s shown to have immaculate taste with collaborations, let’s see what a full album sounds like.
